Liked that the hotel was stunningly beautiful and had absolutely friendly and affable staff in all areas. The restaurant was good with good breakfast, I tried excellent dishes. The nice bathroom and the rest was fairly clean. The location was marvellous and comfy, because a bus stop was based nearby the venue. The property was set in a beautiful area.

I absolutely adored the charming decor of the Schmelmer Hof Hotel & Resort. The hotel's interior was beautifully designed, with traditional Bavarian elements that created a cozy and warm ambiance. It felt like stepping into a traditional German home. The common areas were well-maintained and immaculately clean. As a senior woman, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was for older guests. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my walking cane. The staff were also attentive and helpful, always ready to assist me whenever I needed assistance.
If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be for the staff to be more experienced and knowledgeable about catering to the needs of senior guests. While their assistance was appreciated, there were times when they seemed a bit unknowledgeable or inexperienced in dealing with certain requests or concerns.

For the price we paid, we definitely got our money's worth. The room was comfortable and cozy, perfect for a relaxing stay. The location was great, nestled in a rural area with a nearby bus stop and plenty of parking. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, especially towards our young children.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, maybe by offering a wider variety of options.
